Cartoonists Invade Noise Pop 2012!

Rock and roll! The Isotope has once again been asked by our friends at Noise Pop indie music festival to bring the awesome by combining our collective interests in live music, cool comics, and amazingly creative cartoonists to make this year’s line-up the best ever. We couldn’t be more excited!

Those of you who were lucky to join us on our live music-centric comic art adventure will remember the jaw-dropping set list we laid out last year. From our army of Sequential Reporters to comic making classes to the DIY Vinyl Dreams gallery show to Ted Naifeh‘s stunning COURTNEY CRUMRIN LIVE to international superstar Ben Templesmith drawing the next issue of FELL live on stage with DJ SamSupa.

And yours truly as Noise Pop’s official “Comics Curator” will be bringing you all another exciting year of music+comics events. Our official press releases go out later in the week, but we currently have an open call for local cartoonists who would like to participate as Sequential Reporters. Hooking up artists with their favorite bands? What could be more fun? Last year experiment was a tremendous success, and we helped facilitate some really exceptional collaborations between great bands and amazing cartoonists. Do drop me a line if you want to be part of this year’s festivities.
