Happy Thanksgiving!

We here at the Isotope have a lot to be thankful for.

Great comics and graphic novels, smiling faces coming in the front door, friendly creators who are as excited as we are about celebrating the artform, having the opportunity to share our passion for comics with so many, the gift of “unlimited Slack” which has been so truly unlimited, those wonderful folks who get their orders in on time, being a small part of the colorful tapestry that makes San Francisco the greatest city on Earth… but most especially we’re thankful for all the sweet, supportive people who have helped us make so many of our dreams come true. You people rock.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Chew Goes Showtime

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve told folks I thought John Layman and Rob Guillory‘s Chew was going to be the next comic that hits television in a massive, massive way. I’m sure you’re all tired of hearing about it (laugh)! Especially those of you who attended our big launch party with author and all-around nice guy when this book was just getting started out.

But seriously… one part cop show, one part Food Network show, and a little X-Files thrown in for good measure? How could it not be the next biggest thing?!

Well we’re going to get our chance to find out! Today we’ve gotten the news that the comic will be airing on Showtime network with writers Terri Hughes Burton and Ron Milbauer of Eureka fame, and Californication director/executive producer Stephen Hopkins. That sounds pretty darn perfect!

Congrats to the entire Chew team, you guys couldn’t deserve it more! Click here for some photos of our big bash with Mister Layman and here for a video interview with him from Isotope ground zero.

Man, that John sure is a great guy isn’t he?
