Seeking Local Cartoonists For SF Weekly

Bay Area cartoonists – let’s get your comics into the newspaper, shall we?!

Remember those wonderful Sundays you spent as a kid reading the Comics section of the newspaper? My parents never got the Sunday paper but boy do I have some fantastic memories from my grandparents’ house with that big, fat Sunday edition. Tearing past all those boring Sports and Auto and Business sections, to get to the good stuff. It’s a sad thing that there’s so little comics in the papers anymore. But the comics aren’t entirely gone yet! Speaking of which, here’s the exciting email that showed up in my in-box today from one of my good amigos over at SF Weekly:

Hello,

I am putting together SF Weeky’s first comics issue and wondered if you might be interested in participating or know someone who would be… Here’s the call for submissions. Let me know if you have any questions. And of course, feel free to spread this around the comic/cartoonist cartoon community.

Thanks!

Well alright… Dear cartooning friends of the Isotope, here is your chance to take over an awesome newspaper with comics! You know you’ve been waiting for this chance since you were little, let’s make this happen, people!
