The Walking Dead: A Decade of Dead

In honor of the ten year anniversary of Robert Kirkman & Charlie Adlard‘s epic series THE WALKING DEAD (congrats!) the folks at Skybound Entertainment and Hyundai put together a great 22 minute documentary with interviews by some great industry folks and fans of the book. This saw a debut at New York Comic Con last weekend and now it’s up on YouTube for everyone to enjoy!

And among the folks interviewed is yours truly, sporting my favorite purple suit. The producers were great to work with and we had a lot of fun talking about crazy Robert Kirkman stories like this one.

Check out the event invitation for the world premiere of this documentary from NYCC. The eagle-eyed among you will notice it contains zombie versions of everyone in the film, drawn by series artist Charlie Adlard. That’s me down on the bottom right hand side. Considering my secret appearance in the Tony Moore drawn volume one, it’s quite an honor to have been zombified by *both* of THE WALKING DEAD artists!

Kirkman: The Most Bad-Ass Man in Comics?

Robert Kirkman, creator of THE WALKING DEAD, meets world record sword swallower Betty Bloomerz and gets in on the Squidling Brothers Circus Sideshow‘s act during Isotope, iFanboy and Image Comics’ legendary WALKING DEAD Zombie Bar Crawl.

Is Robert the most bad-ass man in comics today? He might be! Watch this video filmed by Ryan Kennedy and you decide…

Kirkman & The Clown

My favorite comic from all of WonderCon this year would have to be this fumetti strip, made by Isotope’s resident photographer Dyami Serna, entitled “Robert Kirkman vs. Jellyboy The Clown.” I think you will love it!

Consisting entirely of live shots from Dyami’s camera of Kirkman’s encounter with the Squidling Bros. Circus Sideshow at the first stop on our WALKING DEAD Zombie Bar Crawl event.

Yes it’s true, WALKING DEAD creator Robert Kirkman not only did indeed staple money to Jellyboy The Clown’s face but he also got right into the act and helped Betty Bloomerz with her world-record sword swallowing act!

More photos to come!

New Walking Dead Story by Kirkman

Heads-up Walking Dead fans!

You know how incredible the comic and the trailer for the TV show are already, and we know Robert Kirkman can write one heck of a great comic book… but can he write prose as well? Oh, you bet he can!

You won’t want to miss an exclusive Walking Dead story by Kirkman, alongside other original stories by zombie fiction legends like Max Brooks and David Wellington, in the new brain-eating anthology The Living Dead 2.

This is the first time Kirkman’s prose writing has ever been published and I wanted to make sure no one was missing out on it. So we got ahold of our friends at Night Shade Books and are giving you an exclusive Isotope sneak peek to wet your appetite!

The Walking Dead Trailer is Alive @ AMC

Break out your shotgun, the Walking Dead trailer is alive @ AMC!

After years of waiting, months of anticipation, and more time than we care to admit of outright obsessing about AMC’s adaptation of one of my favorite comic series of all, Robert Kirkman, Charlie Adlard, Cliff Rathburn, and Tony Moore‘s jaw-dropping zombie series The Walking Dead (did you know that you can find me in a pile of dead bodies in volume one? It’s true!)… the trailer is finally on-line.

And oh, it’s so good!

This show is being made by the fine folks behind two of the best shows to ever grace a tv set, Mad Men and Breaking Bad. And adapted for the small screen by The Shawshank Redemption director. I gotta say, we fans have a lot to get excited about!

Run, don’t walk, to the AMC site right now to get the first peek at what will no doubt be one of our favorite things shambling into 2010. Check out the trailer for yourself:
